With their comeback nearing, the teaser video of Wonder Girls’ title single “Be My Baby” was revealed on the 3rd.

The video that was revealed showed a charismatic Wonder Girls, revealing the basic concept and how the stage may be for their second official album.

Within Yubin’s narration, the members can be seen posing at a bar, wearing dot patterned outfits. The members’ silhouetted stage performance followed suit. After their rhythmical choreography, the video ended with Wonder Girls posing, and the title song being shown.

JYP Entertainment stated, “The teaser video revealed today is for this album’s title song ‘Be My Baby’. We are planning on releasing Wonder Girls’ album on the 7th, and an English version of the title song will be revealed in North America. Please continue to show love and support for Wonder Girls.”

Meanwhile, Wonder Girls will have their first comeback stage on KBS Music Bank on November 11th.

Though an English version of “Be My Baby” will be released, it’s not clear if it will be unveiled at the same time as the Korean version or when Wonder Girls’ movie comes out in 2012.

Wonder Girls will be returning to Korea this week.

Wonder Girls have been busy filming their TV movie ‘Wonder Girls At The Apollo’, which is scheduled to air in 2012. After completing the filming, they are planning on returning to Korea sometime this weekend, and begin preparations for their comeback.

JYP Entertainment stated, “Wonder Girls are currently busy filming their TV movie and handling other schedules. As long as there aren’t any additional interruptions, they will be returning to Korea near the end of the week and will focus on their comeback preparations.”

It is expected for them to go against SNSD, Orange Caramel, as well as T-ara in November. Also, after their retro concept series with ‘So Hot’ and ‘Nobody’, many have been wondering what their comeback album concept will be.

On this, their management stated, “Their album will be created like a movie OST. With that in mind, we will be finalizing their album concept to fit the song’s mood. We are expecting a more pop-like concept, rather than a retro one. We will be showing their new charms, so please look forward to it.”

*This article was published on October 9th, the same day Wonder Girls arrived in Korea. Taking this into consideration, it seems the media was about a week late in publishing their statements by JYPE, as the girls finished shooting their movie last week, on October 6th, and were already on their way to Korea last Saturday, on October 8th, while the article makes it seem like all of that would happen this week. Nonetheless, at least we are finally getting little details about their much awaited Korean comeback. Who’s excited?!

The artists of JYP Entertainment are planning to spread out all over the world for the upcoming new year.

Representatives of JYP Entertainment revealed, “In 2011, the Wonder Girls will be in America, 2PM in Japan, and miss A in China in order to extend their promotions internationally. The Wonder Girls will complete their Asian tour and return to America to release a new track, and there’s a high possibility that they will release their first official album as well.”

2PM has already released a DVD in Japan and will be holding a showcase titled “2PM 1ST CONTACT IN JAPAN” on December 8th in Tokyo. Their Japanese promotions will officially begin in 2011 with the release of their first official album, “1:59 PM,” which will include a brand-new track in Japanese.

The representative went on to state, “Their schedule for 2011 is already planned so we will be moving according to that.” Due to members Wooyoung and Taecyeon’s participation in the drama “Dream High,” 2PM’s Japanese activities will be put on hold until the series has completed.

miss A was always meant to head over to China, and so the ladies will officially begin their Chinese activities in 2011 as well.

The CEO of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young, will also be quite busy as well – he will tackle his first attempt at acting alongside his artists in “Dream High”. Park Jin Young has also taken on the responsibilities of being the style and music directors for the drama.

The artists of JYP Entertainment will be coming together for the first time to release a Christmas carol single.

A representative of JYPE stated, “Park Jinyoung, the Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, miss A, San E, JOO, Lim Jung Hee and others will be working together to release a carol single in December.”

Although SME and YGE of the ‘big 3′ already released group event albums, this is the first time JYPE artists are doing so.

The representative continued, “Each of the artists are busy with their own schedules but are making sure to create time for this album as a gift to their fans. The album is currently in production.”

Park Jinyoung will be heading the composing and writing of the tracks.

After withdrawing from the Wonder Girls to resume her studies, Sunmi was accepted into Dongguk University on the 15th. After she enrolled with a major related to those entered by celebrities, fans have expressed their anticipations thinking ‘Sunmi will comeback in no time’. Rumors of her returning to the group have gained even more momentum after numerous accounts of fans seeing her visit the JYP Entertainment company building in Seoul Chungdam-dong.

JYP Entertainment stated, “It is true that Sunmi comes to the building after withdrawing to learn how to dance and sing. More than her actually training, she spends more time just hanging out with other friends in the practice rooms, dancing and playing.” The JYPE member continued, “It is also true that there is time left on Sunmi’s contract. As the withdrawl from the group was her decision, returning to the entertainment business will also be her decision.”

They added, “We never discussed her comeback in detail. However, because she enjoys being on stage, we don’t think she will give up singing entirely. We will follow her decision on her comeback.”

After debuting in 2007, Sunmi dropped out of school in order for her group to debut in the US. However, she left the team saying, “I will enlist in college.” She passed her GED exams and was able to be accepted into a university.

MBLAQ talks about Rain and Park JinYoung’s protégés, the chances of JYP Entertainment artists participating in the upcoming musical drama, Dream High, and more at the Mnet Ultimate Live in Taiwan press conference.

On August 20th at 4:00PM, a press conference was held at the PALAIS de CHINE HOTEL in Taipei to present to the media the start of the Mnet-JYPE project known as Mnet Ultimate Live in Asia and promote the concert in Taiwan.

After taking some photos and being welcomed by loud cheers and applauses, JYP thanked Taiwan for opening its doors to Korea and the Q & A session officially started with questions about the JYPE artists.

When asked about the standard for the abilities of rookie artists, JYP explained,

“Each person is different. One person is lacking in their singing and another person in their dancing. There are even some who still have to work on both but, I can see that they have passion to do better. So, the standard would be for a person to have a big dream.”

He also spoke about the person who had the most aegyo or complained the most. He said,

“Each member has certain amount of aegyo and complains but, there is one member who always makes me question them. That person is Wonder Girls‘ Sohee. I often think… Why is she like this today? Did she have a bad day? She constantly makes me question her. Even today, as we made our way to Taiwan, Sohee got me questioning what her mood was like today”

This provoked a smirk to appear on Sohee’s face and made everyone laugh.

When asked why he wasn’t including JYPE artists in his drama with Bae YoungJoon, Dream High, set to air in January, JYP refuted by saying, “The celebrities in our company are planning to audition. However, the cast will ultimately be chosen by the producer.”

Then the attention switched to MBLAQ, who were asked about Rain. G.O confessed that when they told him about the Taiwan trip, Rain simply said “lucky”, but that it was normal for him to only say things like, “You guys are lucky. Do good and come back”. When they won first place all he asked was if they liked it, revealing Rain’s trouble with expressing his feelings.

This was the first press conference in Taiwan for MBLAQ, 2PM and miss A. While Jia and Fei answered their questions in Chinese, the boys of MBLAQ and 2PM expressed how surprised and thankful they were for the fans who went to the airport and even said it felt like they were home.

Reporters were left with a good impression of these idols and one of them revealed,

“The popularity of the Wonder Girls and 2PM is very hot. Even 2PM’s nickname as ‘Beast-dol’ is well known. Thousands of female fans are anxiously waiting for this concert. Are concerts in Korea like this one in Taiwan?”

The Mnet Ultimate Live in Taiwan took place at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibitions Hall on August 21st with around 8,000 in attendance who enjoyed four long hours of Kpop.

After stopping her activities as part of the Wonder Girls to pursue her studies, Sunmi pretty much disappeared from the public eye with only some minor sighting by fans. Recently, she reappeared by opening her own Twitter account sparking even more curiosity about what has she been up to.

Well, for those who have been dying to know about Sunmi, JYP Entertainment staff members recently revealed that she has been visiting JYPE often, to practice and talk to trainees although she doesn’t stay for a long time. She also takes time to do some fan service as she “greets and signs autographs for the fans outside”.

They also mentioned that she is now studying hard for the college entrance exams after passing her GED (high school equivalency diploma test) in the first try and made clear that she will not be using Wonder Girls’ name to get special admission by saying,

“Honestly, because of Wonder Girls’ activities, she was not able to study well. Because she had little time to prepare, we were surprised that she was able to pass the GED exam […] There is not much time left for the college entrance exams, and so she is putting her all into studying. She will be taking the exam with her own skills.”

Besides tweeting some of the Wonder Girls, JYPE staff and entertaining her fans with her very own 4D way of writing, Sunmi has also expressed that she’s been having a lot of homework but it seems she deleted those tweets to not worry fans.

Let’s hope for Sunmi to do well in her studies and bring many joyful surprises to her fans in the future.

Popular Korean entertainment company, JYP Entertainment, will be working with Mnet Media, a popular music cable station in Asia. This partnership is to further expand music created by JYPE artists such as the Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, Park Jin Young (JYP), and miss A into the Asian music market.

The two will jointly work together on expanding Korean music throughout the entire continent of Asia. Mnet Media will be able to provide more opportunities for broadcasting in countries like China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.

Mnet representative 박광원 / Park Kwang Won stated, “This partnership will give us the opportunity to form a business model to advance the wave to the Asian market and help Korea be an industry leader.”
