Vote for Wonder Girls on BIGLOBE MUSIC, Japan
Vote for Wonder Girls on Japan Website, BIGLOBE MUSIC!! KARA, Girls' Generation, FTIsland, BROWN EYED GIRLS... All of these South Korean units are starting to come to the Japanese music scene. It was a spark no doubt started by Tohoshinki and now many K-pop artists are looking to make a name for themselves in the Japanese market. With Tohoshinki on hiatus, 2010 will definitely be a time when the different Korean groups will be looking to take their spot in Japan. Back in July when we went to Seoul, South Korea, we found out that they really don't have anything like a large scale CD store such as HMV. On top of that, even the main stores had Japanese tourists. Korea is considered a music distribution center, but for them a big hit might sell only 50,000 copies. This is nothing compared to the "buying CD" culture that has taken root in Japan. For the Korean music scene this would obviously seem like a better market.
