On the 2nd February, Wonder Girls’ first ever US TV-Movie special began airing in the United States on American television network, TeenNick.

According to the comments posted across social network platforms as well as certain teen sites, many were having mixed feelings about the movie – either good, neutral or bad.

This is the first time for the international sensation taking on a leading role on the US television. Some thought that the TV-Movie could be better in terms of the storyline, while many had gave kudos to the Wonder Girls’ acting skills, as well as their English. Overall, it was pretty alright for a movie that is targeted at “Tweens”, as compared to many TV-Movies that were made these days.

Be one of the first to catch the movie & the stars – Wonder Girls & School Gyrls themselves at the red carpet.

So hurry & make your plans for this coming Friday, seatings are based on a first come first served basis!

As you probably could tell from that speedily taken down AllKPop article, the Wonder Girls will be having their first red carpet movie premiere in Los Angeles this weekend! This is a huge event for them and it will definitely be something that news media from around the world will be covering and WGspectacle wants to make it so that the fans are there in full support for the Girls!

We would love to organize a fan meetup for Spectacle members and other Wonderfuls. If you are in the LA area, or are traveling from out of state (like me) to go to the event please let us know! It would make the Girls really happy if they could see their fans lining the red carpet, cheering them on for the whole premiere. Some sites are already doing ticket giveaways for the movie as well, so it is possible there will be extra seats that fans might be used to fill.

Again, this is HUGE news for the Girls. Let’s make sure all the media, and the world, sees how much their fans adore them!

No official time for the red carpet yet, but usually these types of events start in afternoon and early evening. I’ll definitely be there as soon as possible to help pump people up and support the Girls with banners and everything. So how about we agree on a 4PM meetup? We want to make sure we are there for any news crews that might show up.

K-Pop sensations The Wonder Girls and teen pop act School Gyrls announced today that “The Wonder Girls” will premiere on February 2 at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on TeenNick, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens and tweens.  The Wonder Girls and the School Gyrls announced the news from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where they premiered their video for “The DJ is Mine” featured in the hour-long TV special.

“The Wonder Girls” chronicles the adventures of the K-pop act as they prepare for their U.S. debut. They stumble upon a talent competition at the legendary Apollo Theatre where they meet their new rivals the School Gyrls. As the plot unfolds fans will see exciting performances from both acts, girl group drama and even a little romance.

Park and TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon.  The music video for “The DJ is Mine” was filmed with Samsung’s 3D technology and will be embedded into new Samsung products and will feature Wonder Girls performances and scenes from the movie.

School Gyrls had revealed a couple of photos taken on the set of “The DJ Is Mine” music video, through their official Facebook page.

Wonder Girls had unleashed their first single – “The DJ Is Mine”, off their upcoming TV movie, which is slated to be broadcasted on 2nd February 2012.

The music video was directed by Ethan Lader, whom is also the director for their TV movie – “The Wonder Girls”.

The song has an upbeat electronic mix to it, & the funky music video showcases a dance battle scene between the 2 rivalry group (in the movie), The School Gyrls & Wonder Girls.

South Korea’s female idol group, Wonder Girls, recently set foot on many different countries lately.

During the interview with the local media yesterday, Wonder Girls expressed that they don’t mind having a boyfriend from a different nationality. Member, Yenny, laughed & said: “My parents did not restrict me in having a relationship with a boyfriend from a different nationality. Furthermore, my mom told me that it is time for her to pick up English, because if her son-in-law happens to be a foreigner, English might come in handy for them to communicate.”

Amongst the Wonder Girls members, Sun recently openly announced her long-distance relationship with a pastor. Sunye said: “Actually, we did not really have much time to meet up with each other, because of our trust in one another & a strong force that actually binds us together through prayers; this keeps our relationship going.”

Wonder Girls were scheduled to leave Taiwan today at 8.10am, taking KE5692 flight back to Korea.

Wonder Girls had landed in Taiwan yesterday, to participate in Taiwan TTV‘s year end entertainment show

“2012 Superstar Red & White Red White Music Festival” (2012超級巨星紅白藝能大賞).

This marks the 3rd visit for the Wonder Girls, & felt extremely excited & happy that they could share the same stage together with their juniors, Miss-A.

When asked about Wonder Girls’ plans to tour Asia in the future,  the Girls responded that they hope to be able to come to Taiwan again.

Wonder Girls’ first ever US TV-Movie “The Wonder Girls” is slated to broadcast early next month.

In the movie, there is a scene where the members had a conflict. Apart from the script, Wonder Girls’ member Lim started bursting out her tears out of a sudden, during the filming of that particular scene, had made quite an unforgettable impression for the rest of the members.
