Sunmi to be dropped from FreeStyle Basketball

Due to Wonder Girls member Sunmi’s decision to put her music career on hold, Sunmi’s virtual character for the online video game Freestyle Basketball will be dropped.

In the winter of 2008, the Wonder Girlsgained a lot of attention for agreeing to participate in JC Entertainment’s online game Freestyle Basketball. The company made virtual players based on each member so that players could control and use them in the game.

JC Entertainment said:

“We are aware of Sunmi’s decision to leave the Wonder Girls. We have discussed with JYP and Sunmi’s character will no longer be available for use.”

Regarding new member Lim (Hae Lim), the company said:

“We have not put Hae Lim in the game to replace Sunmi. We are currently still in the midst of discussions.”

Due to the increasing popularity of the game after adding the Wonder Girls, JC Entertainment is currently working on getting girl group KARA to join in as well.
