8/7/09 Staples Center Los Angeles

This is a very long post, so brace yourself, lol. Anyways, got there around 6pm, traffic was insane. Brought a couple of my friends, two newly converted WG fans. The entrance to the Staples Center was flooded by a sea of young girls.. So I was like ayyy. But, I was expecting it. We get in and they say no camcorders and so we had to check it in mad.gif. We get to our seats while Honor Society is on, but I had WG on my mind so I didn’t really pay attention. They end, crew cleans up the stage, and after a bit I see them put up the mics! And then they show the vid of Jobros introducing WG and then they came up on stage and of course me and my friends cheered for them biggrin.gif Couldn’t see them well I was in the nosebleed section =/ I was literally a few rows from the wall of the arena lol. While they were teaching the Nobody dance, it was sad cause my friends knew the dance better than me, and I’m supposed to be the bigger WG fan, haha. And my guy friend knew all the lyrics, I was impressed. And it was cool cause during the song, me and my friends clapped when WG clapped and it caught on to a few people around us, and they clapped too. Like one little girl in front of me turned around and looked at me and started clapping too haha, and then her parents did, and etc.

After the performance we ended up walking around a bit, blah blah, and ended up back in our seats, after realizing it may be a while til the concert was over. Man.. when the Jonas entered.. the screams.. louder than any rock concert I’ve been to. I thought, this must be what a dog whistle sounds like to a dog, but 20,000x louder. My friend swiped ear plugs while we were at the guest desk while checking in the camera, and had them on, and he just smiled at me contently while I suffered. So after a while we left and waited at the guest desk for the concert to end so I could get my camera back dry.gif meaning we couldn’t wait in the WG M&G line. Luckily, the lady was nice, and let me get my camcorder back before the concert ended so we got the camcorder and rushed to the WG line. It wasn’t bad, I’d say like 20 people were already lined up, obviously WG fans.

The line wraps around a corner, and we were right behind the corner, so we couldn’t see the WG come out.. but everyone in front of me was screaming their heads off, so I knew when they came! It was cool because, the line was at a big entrance to the staples center, so people were right by the line, crowded, trying to get out. And they looked at the line wondering what it was for, and eventually a lot of jobros fans got into line to meet the WG. Also, they had Nobody on repeat over the arena intercom speakers the whole time! I was like hell ya! The line was moving fast, so I was surprised. In almost no time, we were talking to some girl from their staff, she said we had to take group pictures. So I told her how to take a pic with my camcorder, and assumed she would tell the camera guy.

(Btw there was no meet and greet, you take 1 photo and that’s it, no autographs or chatting)

Me and my 2 friends went up to the WG. I was like @_@! I went up to the middle, and kinda looked at Yubin, and she was like oh okay and gestured me into the middle. I was so .. shocked, I didn’t even see who was to my right lol. Later I looked and it was Sun Ye. They got real tight around me(yay) and the rest was kind of a blur. The guy took the pic and next thing I know I’m outside the photo area, and I said to my friend, dude, I don’t think I even said anything to them!! My other friend said she hugged Yubin, Sunmi, and Sohee and I said again I didn’t even say anything!(I was a broken record for most of the night during/after meeting WG) I was so pissed at myself for bieng so completely wonderstruck(yes, pun intended) by WG’s presence that was I was dumbstruck into silence! ahh and then my friend says, hey the camera guy said he didn’t know how to operate it? And I checked my camcorder and there was no picture -.- I will forever resent that staff member with long hair and glasses lol, now I have no picture of me right in the middle between Sun Ye and Yoobin T_T Anyways, my friend said to talk to the staff and explain, but I didn’t want to cut that whole line so we went to the back of the line.

One of their managers/PD’s(I think) came up to the line and had a loudspeaker and was yelling some stuff, I didn’t catch it, but people started screaming really loud and he was going up and down the line recording it. Anyway, while waiting in line, I felt, as a fellow Korean, I should say something in Korean so they hear something familiar in this foreign country. Boost their spirits a little, idk. Ended up forgetting to do so, of course.

We got up to the line and talked to that chick again, and told her I’m gonna explain to the camera guy myself. Ye Eun(nearest to line) saw us, well, my female friend who was in front, and said you again?? haha and excitedly waved us in(she is so awesome) So I went to long-haired glasses boy again and told him how to do it, and he seemed apologetic, so it’s okay. I looked back, and my friends were alreayd in place, and my friend already took the middle position =/ so I went off to the side by Ye Eun. It was so cool cause (since it was loud) I kinda casually leaned and whispered near her ear, sorry, the guy didn’t take the picture last time, as if I was just talking to a friend. haha. She said “oh okay” and I was surprised, it was like talking with a fluent English-speaking person. So the guy’s about to take the picture, and Ye Eun put her arm around me(!!!) and tried to pull me in for the picture, but my body was completely rigid LOL, as you can see in the picture below. In my head I was thinking, what are you doing?! Lean in, she’s PULLING you in for the picture!! But my body would not obey my mind. Lol. I even got part of my right side cut off from the picture =/ (flippin long hair glasses boy again!! mad.gif) And so this time around, I managed to say “thank you” to one of the WG and could not say anything coherent for the life of me.

We exit the photo area, and wait off to the side, me of course beating myself up, for only managing a “thank you” after 2 rounds and not leaning in for the picture! So the line wound down to the last people, and I said lets go. But my friend said noo, lets ask if they can sign your CD. I said no, and started to leave, but she just ran over to the PD guy who was recording earlier and asked(I told her later, she would make a great annoying persistent reporter haha, but no she’s a great friend) At first, he was hesitant, but then he said okay, so my friend shouted and waved me over. As far as I know, I was the only person that day to get an autograph! biggrin.gif And I stood there while they passed the CD down the line. I saw Ye Eun waiting and I said “hi Ye Eun” And she did like a shy/awkward head bow lol. Probably because I should’ve said hi a while back, instead of at the end, haha. And then I got the CD back and we said thank you and walked out. When we got out my friend told me the PD guy was hesitant at first, because one of the girls was sick. I felt bad when I found this out, that I made them wait to sign my CD when one of the girls was sick =/ And by sick, I’m sure the PD guy meant like really tired and not feeling well, not a serious type of sick, so don’t worry people. I’m guessing this is why they didn’t do the full meet and greet. Up to that point, I was disappointed about no M&G, since that’s the main reason I went, but after I heard that I completely understood. Not like I would’ve been able to cough out any words anyway. laugh.gif

Man, where was JYP?? I didn’t see him, though I kinda forgot about him cause of the WG. Also, I have to comment on Ye Eun. Man, she was so beautiful. Of course the others were too, but I saw Ye Eun a lot because she was at the end of the WG line, right by the fan line. Which was smart, because she really gives it her all to the fans. I thought everyone who said WG look so much more beautiful in real life, were just sayin that as loyal fans, but I have to 500% agree with that. They are so stunning!
